Here you'll find some of my favourite recordings, videos, bands, and collaborations that I've been involved in as a guitarist.
Os Tropies pays tribute to the Tropicalia movement of 1960s Brazil, performing covers and original songs inspired by artists such as Gal Costa, Os Mutantes, and Caetano Veloso.
Swampy guitars and keyboards, lush strings, and intricate vocal arrangements characterize the sound of Words Around The Waist. Like a string quartet, each of the four members contribute a voice of equal importance, adding a chamber element to their psychedelic pop style. Anna Atkinson, Graham Campbell, Sam Mclellan, and Ghislain Aucoin write songs for Words Around The Waist that are witty, dark, heartfelt and imaginative.
James Campbell and Graham Campbell
As You Near Me is the 2013 release by virtuoso clarinetist James Campbell and his son, talented songwriter/arranger and guitarist Graham Campbell. Songs by well known Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Abel Ferreira, Paulo Moura and Chiquinha Gonzaga – all arranged by Graham – are matched with eight of his original compositions. Standards such as Django Reinhardt’s Nuages and Tears are given the unique Campbell treatment. They are joined on this recording by the the multi-award winning Afiara String Quartet, and guest musicians Amy Medvick, Sam Mclellan, Robin Watson, Mari Palhares, and Bob Mills.
Since they came together in 2007, The Human Rights have built a reputation as one of Canada's top Reggae bands -- specializing in original, high-energy, modern roots reggae with a mix of jazz, funk and R&B influences. The band is led by Juno nominee Friendlyness (formerly of Culture Shock & Big Sugar) and Juno nominee Tréson on lead vocals and features a blazing 3-piece horn section, two stellar guitar players, and a rock-steady riddim section topped off by legendary Reggae keyboardist Bernie Pitters (Toots and the Maytals, Hit Squad, Leroy Brown, Sly & Robbie) on the bubble and skank.

Oene van Geel and Graham Campbell
During the first wave of Covid-19, I collaborated remotely with my friend Oene van Geel, from Amsterdam. We sent tracks back and forth across the ocean. Visual artist Nan Wang created the images for Death Star of Riverdale. Leef! is a song by Oene, accompanied by his own paintings and drawings.
