Kettle Vapours is a short work composed in April 2020, shortly after the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The piece offers a musical depiction of a kettle gradually coming to a boil, built entirely from a single rising motive that repeatedly overlaps with itself as it accumulates momentum and energy.
